The Computer Science Department at East Carolina University offers a Master of Science in Software Engineering (MSSE) degree that is available both online through ECU's distance education and on-campus in a face-to-face setting. The MS in Software Engineering program prepares students to be able to specify, implement, and manage large software system projects from initial concept to the end of product life that are on-time, on-budget, and meet functional requirements. Our new Master of Science in Software Engineering degree program was launched in spring 2008, the first ever program of its kind in the state of North Carolina.
